FOSTER CARE CASE SPECIALIST (Lake Villa)
We are seeking a full-time Foster Care Case Specialist to manage all aspects of case management and clinical coordination for children and adolescents in the Specialized Foster Care Program. Position requires at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology or related Human Services field, and two years social service experience. Child Welfare Employee Licensure, Child Endangerment Risk Assessment Protocol Certification, and Certification to conduct licensing of foster homes also required. Per DCFS requirements, candidate must be at least 21 years of age with a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
PART-TIME MENTOR (Lake Villa)
We are seeking a part-time Mentor for our Clinical and Community Services Program. This position is 20 hours per week and benefits eligible. Mentors provide one-on-one support for children and adolescents with mental health problems to develop and strengthen social skills and independent living skills in activities in their home community. This position is for afterschool and weekends only. Candidate will possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology or related Human Services field and some experience working with youth. Per DCFS requirements, candidate must be at least 21 years of age with a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT AND FUNDRAISING (Lake Villa)
We are currently seeking a Director of Development and Fundraising to be responsible for both short-term and long-term/strategic development and fundraising planning and forecasting in support of department and Agency mission, goals and objectives. This person works under the direction of the President within a leadership team. Primary duties include the planning, direction, control and oversight of foundation and corporate fund-raising, grant writing and administration oversight, donor/giving prospecting and relationship development, and alumni cultivation. Candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related field, five years progressively responsible experience in fund-raising and grant writing for non-profits; management experience a plus. Experience with spread sheet, word processing and database PC-based software is required; familiarity with Blackbaud desired.
SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER (Lake Villa)
We are currently seeking to hire full-time Special Education Teachers for our Educational Services Program. Candidates must have an LBS I or LBS II teaching certification. Responsibilities include coordinating, overseeing, and providing individual/group educational instruction to students within the treatment program. Also provides direction to Teacher Aides. Per DCFS regulations, must have valid driver's license with a good driving record and be at least 21 years of age.
TEACHER AIDE (Lake Villa, North Chicago IL)
We have full-time Teacher Aide positions available within our high end Special Education programs at the locations above. Ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Education or Special Education and a Paraprofessional Certificate. One year related experience, preferably in a special education environment, a plus. THERAPEUTIC RECREATION PROGRAM SPECIALIST (Lake Villa)
We are currently seeking to hire a full-time Therapeutic Recreation Program Specialist to provide client specific therapeutic recreational activities in order to help clients in our Residential Services program develop knowledge, abilities, social skills and emotional functioning. Candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation, or a related field; related experience desired. Per DCFS regulations, must have valid driver's license with a good driving record and be at least 21 years of age.
REGISTERED NURSE (Lake Villa)
We currently have a full time 2nd shift position for a Registered Nurse at our Lake Villa IL, location. Candidate will be responsible for health services and first aid to residents, students and staff in accordance with standard nursing procedures, regulatory standards and Allendale guidelines. Candidate must have an Associate’s Degree in Nursing, Illinois RN licensure and ability to obtain Wisconsin state RN licensure, CPR and Red Cross certification in first aid, and knowledge of JCAHO standards, OSHA BBP rules, Illinois and Wisconsin Nursing Practice Acts, and Illinois and Wisconsin Code related to schools and health care. Per DCFS regulations, must have valid driver’s license with a good driving record and be at least 21 years of age.
CASE SPECIALIST (Lake Villa)
We have an opening for a full time Case Specialist to coordinate contact between clients, and all outside agencies, clients' families, guardians, referral sources and other individuals involved in the treatment of clients. Candidate will prepare and present required reports, compile data and arrange visits. Requires Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related human services field and two years related experience. Per DCFS requirements, candidate must be at least 21 years of age with a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
YOUTH CARE WORKER AKA MENTAL HEALTH SPECIALIST (Lake Villa, North Chicago IL, Bent Lake/Bristol WI)
We have full-time rotating second shift positions for Youth Care Workers (aka Mental Health Specialists) at the locations above to work actively with high end "at risk" children and adolescents ages 8 to 18 years within our Residential Units and group homes. Ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, or related Human Service field, OR 5-years of related equivalent social service experience. Per DCFS regulations, must have valid driver's license with a good driving record and be at least 21 years of age.
